Add me, laurynthehylian, to XFire, if you need help.
It's Free to sign-up, download, and use the voice chat features.
There is a 'push to talk' key binding feature (like in Vent)
We can name our chat and members can search for it(no need for an invite)
We can also put a password on our chatroom so only Anima members will join
You can talk (voice) and chat (text) in the same window
You can easily enter the chat again by saving it
We can have up to 50 people in our room using Voice
Need a reason to use it?
The chat room has a 'message of the day' that is kept updated with Guild news.
You can't log on a game because it is down for maintenance.
You don't feel like logging onto a game, but you enjoy talking to the guild.
You've always wanted to hear what we sound like.
Rules and Ranks
Rules apply to both the text and voice chat for the most part
Do not be vulgar. Do not curse excessively. Do not use the word 'rape', even in the place of 'pwn'. Remember that there are not only some young guild members, but young siblings (or parents) may be listening in.
Do not spam the text chat. This includes several lines of the same text, blank white space, and anything else an Admin or Mod deems spamy.
Admins: Louvre and Anima Guild Leaders (grimmhooke and laurynthehylian)
Mods: Louvre and Anima Staff members
Everyone else is a power User.
While you cannot have your rank raised you can have your rank lowered. If you start inviting people that are not members of Anima or Louvre you will be lowered to Normal (which takes away inviting rights). You will be muted if an Admin or Mod catches you breaking a rule and you continue to break it after a warning.
Break rules multiple times and you'll be banned from the chatroom. :<
How to Join our XFire Voice Chatroom
Chat room name: anima guilds[/b][/color]
We are sharing a room with Louvre. Please treat their guild members as you would treat ours. The reason we are doing this is because we share several guildies.
Download XFire
Register for XFire
Once you have downloaded and installed XFire follow the instructions in the above link to create an account (username).
A guide on how to join
In the XFire client click on the second button -Chat Rooms- on the side panel.
In the text box at the bottom of the client type "anima guilds" and press the green arrow (Enter Chat Room).
Once you're in the chatroom click on Actions and Save. This way you'll be able to re-enter easily. You'll be able to find the chat when you click on the Chat Rooms button on the XFire client.

Changing XFire Options
Key Binding (Push key to talk):
In the XFire client click on Tools at the top then Options. Then click on the Voice tab. Select Push to talk then choose which key you would like to use for whenever you want to speak into the microphone.
Setting a Nickname
In the XFire client click on Tools at the top then Options. Then click on the General tab (if it's not already selected). Select Show nicknames when available then type in your nickname into the text box under My nickname:.
Green Dots
When you enter the chatroom you may see a green dot by someone's name. This indicates that they have Voice Chat turned on. If you or someone else does not have a green dot beside their name, then you or that person does not have voice turned on and you will not be able to hear anyone talk or speak to anyone.
When you see signal waves/lines next to a green dot it means that the user is speaking (or making noise).
Making XFire Detect a Game
XFire usually detects games on its own, but sometimes it has problems detecting a game.
If you have yourself added to XFire you should see an icon next to your XFire username. If you don't have yourself added you can see it next to your name in a chatroom or you can see if it shows whether you've played the game or not on your profile.
So Xfire isn't detecting one of your games? In the XFire client go to Tools - Options - Games. Here it'll show a list of your Installed games that XFire has detected on it's own. Double-click on Not Installed to show a complete list of all the games XFire can support. Find your game on the list and highlight it.
Choose Manual Set-up by clicking the radio button. Then click on Browse to find the game on your computer.
Once you've found the folder that the .exe file for the game is located in you're done!
Using XFire in a Supported Game
Scroll Lock + e: Change the size of the windows and the opacity.
Scroll Lock + x: Bring up the XFire menu. It has your current chats.
